In 1957, Kansas City's Hereford House steakhouse opened its doors near the vibrant stockyard area downtown. In this cattleman's town, Hereford House quickly became a legend! Now with two locations, much of what made the Hereford House a popular destination is still in place today. Steaks are still hand-cut, aged for over three weeks, and always grilled the only way steaks should be grilled – over hot hardwood coals!

We celebrated our 55th anniversary at the Shawnee locations. So helpful to make reservations for our group. All of our food was excellent. Madison our waitress was outstanding! She was rolling out our waters as we were seated! Thank you for making the event perfect!
