Employment Benefits:
Medical & Dental Insurance:
The cost of insurance benefits today can be very high. We offer you and your families outstanding medical and dental insurance. The cost is shared by you and the company.
Basic Life Insurance:
Employees who participate in our Medical Plan will automatically receive $10,000 in basic (term) life insurance.
401(K) Profit Sharing Plan:
Our plan was established in 1994. The plan offers many wonderful benefits, such as an individual savings plan and tax-free earnings on your savings. All savings are tax exempt while saved. You can defer up to 15% of your compensation each year and the company contributes a profit sharing percentage.
Paid Vacation:
You are eligible for one week of paid vacation after completing one full year of continuous employment whether you work full or part time. After three years of continuous employment, you are eligible for two weeks paid vacation.

Tuition Assistance Program:
The mission of the H.O.O.F. Program, "Helping Others Obtain a Future", is to encourage you to further your education by assisting you financially. Benefits are based on the amount of hours you work per week and increase each year you are in the program. We have partnered with over 125 student employees who have studied a variety of subjects from chiropractic, chef apprentice, paralegal, to nursing assistant.
We Want to Have A "Steak" In Your Future!
Benefits earned through the H.O.O.F. program are based on the amount of hours worked by the student per week.
First Year:
$1.00 paid per hour worked
Up to $1,200/$600 per semester
Second Year:
$1.25 paid per hour worked
Up to $1,500/$750 per semester
H.O.O.F. money will be paid for hours worked up to 40 hours per week (15 hours minimum).
Employee of the Month:
Each month, your restaurant management team will select an "Employee of the Month" who will receive a $50 dining certificate to any of our restaurants or a $25 dining certificate to the restaurant of their choice.
Employee of the Year:
Each December, each restaurant management team will select the "Employee of the Year" from the previous 12 Employee of the Month honorees. In appreciation for their contributions, each Employee of the Year will receive $500 and a $100 dining certificate to any of our restaurants or a $50 dining certificate to the restaurant of their choice.
Incentive Dining Program:
The H.H.E.I.F.E.R. Program, "Hereford House Employee Initiative For Evaluating Restaurants", is just another way we recognize our star employees. Each quarter employees who receive a positive performance report at each location are entered in a drawing. If you win, you receive a $100 dining certificate to the restaurant of your choice.
Meal Program:
You may receive an employee meal at reduced prices for each shift that you work.
Discount Program:
We are pleased to provide you with a 50% discount on food purchases for you and one other Guest when you dine at any of our restaurants.
Birthday Dining Certificates:
For your birthday, you will receive a $15 Steer Gear gift certificate to any of our restaurants.
Direct Deposit:
Your paycheck can be automatically deposited into your checking and/or savings account each payday.
Credit Union:
Easy way to save money and a great way to get low-interest loans.
